Metadata is hidden information embedded in your photos. It can include GPS coordinates (where the photo was taken), camera make and model, date and time, and technical settings like ISO and aperture. This data can reveal your location and habits when you share photos online.
Tap "Select Photo" on the home screen, choose a photo from your library, and you'll see all the metadata. Tap the red "Remove All Metadata" button at the bottom. The cleaned photo can then be saved to your library or shared directly.
No. MetadataRemover preserves the full image quality. Only the invisible metadata is stripped — your photo's pixels, resolution, and colors remain exactly the same.
No. All processing happens entirely on your device. Your photos never leave your iPhone. We cannot see or access your photos in any way.
Free users can view unlimited photo metadata and remove metadata from 1 photo per day. The daily limit resets at midnight local time.
Premium unlocks unlimited metadata removal and batch processing for up to 20 photos at once. You can choose monthly, yearly, or lifetime subscription options.
Premium subscribers can tap "Select Photos" and choose up to 20 photos. Use the carousel to review each photo's metadata, select which ones to clean, and remove metadata from all selected photos at once.
On the paywall screen, tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom. If you have an active subscription, it will be restored automatically. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions, find MetadataRemover, and tap "Cancel Subscription." You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.
Not all photos contain GPS data. Screenshots, photos with location services disabled, and images downloaded from the web typically don't have GPS metadata. The map preview only appears when GPS coordinates are present.
Yes! If no metadata is detected, your photo doesn't contain removable information. This commonly happens with screenshots, heavily compressed images, or photos that have already been cleaned.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage subscriptions in Settings.
